Time to Regulate

Hey--there`s even a whole song about Rolex (appropriately named `Wearing My Rolex 2008) by rap artist Wiley. The lyrics to the chorus actually read:

``What would we do

Usually drink, usually dance, usually babble

All I want to do is tell you I love you

That`s when I start promising the world to

a brand new girl I don`t even know yet

Next thing she`s wearing my Rolex``

But perhaps one of the most famous songs that mention a Rolex is `Regulate` (1994) by the now deceased Nate Dogg who passed away last March and rapper/hip-hop producer Warren G. Though if you didn`t know the words, you may very well miss it! The lyrics read:

``I`m gettin jacked, I`m breaking myself

I can`t believe they taking Warren`s wealth

They took my rings, they took my Rolex

I looked at the brotha said ``Damn, what`s next?``
More recently there have been successes like `On To the Next One` by Jay-Z which states ``Traded in a gold for the platinum Rolex`s`` and last year`s song actually entitled Rolex by The Dream feat. Casha where the opening lyrics state: ``This is Rolex music, sittin` in back of the `62, just me and my boo``.

From Flo-rida to Usher, without a doubt, for the last 18 years Rolex has left its mark on the rap and hip-hop industry and will continue to do so as new, up and coming artists discover the luxury and style of this legendary brand.
